Have your say on bullying!!!

Conwy Youth Council and the Children & Young People’s Partnership (CYPP) are working together to look at how we can improve the way bullying is sorted out in Conwy.

To do this we need YOU to tell us how it’s being sorted out now, what’s working, and what isn’t.

This questionnaire has been designed by some of the young people that are your representatives on Conwy Youth Council.

August was an exciting and productive month with the Youth Council working with design company Youth Friendly (www.youthfriendly.co.uk) to create a leaflet and poster. They’re fresh off the printing press so keep an eye out for them…!

We’ve also been working on a questionnaire on bullying in Conwy. Before we can know how to improve the situation, we need to know what it’s like out there. Where, why, and how does bullying happen? What’s being done about it already – what works, what doesn’t?

During September we worked on creating a set of questions to find out what you know about your rights, and what is the best way for you to find out about your rights.

We had an opportunity to get some young people’s opinions on both of the above issues in our workshop at the School Councils’ Conference (October) but we want to get as many of your views and opinions as possible so please check out our website www.youngconwy.com/youthcouncil where you can tell us what you think.

To launch our website we are running a competition, so that when you put a comment on our blog you will be given an opportunity to enter a free prize draw for an 8GB nano ipod!

If you’re interested in any of these things or would like to ask us to look at a particular issue, please get in touch!
